Monthly Saturday Club

I help run a Saturday morning club on the third Saturday in each month. The church I go to has run a very sucessful holiday club in the October half term for a number of years and people felt that there needed to be something to invite children too that was in between our normal activities and this once a year event. The idea of a once a month club was proposed and it has been going for a few months now. The format is of half an hour programmed activity - with fun games, competitions, quizes etc followed by the oppourtunity for children to go into different zones for half an hour, a break for a drink and then zones again for another half an hour.

It seems to be working quite well - the children certainly enjoy it and once a month is manageable for the leaders to commit to. I'll let you know how things progress...
